University of California, Los Angeles

With 13 million people from over 140 countries, speaking 224 different languages, living in Los Angeles, our UCLA Scholars work with a uniquely broad range of diverse communities, partners, and agencies to solve the most pressing health issues in our communities. Our mentors at UCLA, RAND, and other partners like Los Angeles County Health Agency and Healthy African American Families expose our Scholars to meaningful local and national networks and experiences. Our program is situated within the UCLA main campus, which is home to resources in different schools and departments like business administration, theater, computer science, public health, medicine, and nursing. Additionally, the sunshine, sushi and other culinary adventures, yoga at the beach, and more are all wonderful aspects of Los Angeles that our Scholars enjoy.
